Binge Reading
The world around us is in transformation mode. Telling us to stop the chaos inside us, listen to Prateek Kuhad’s song and put our brains to rest while giving the steering wheel to the heart. The choices that we are making are influenced from the question, ‘Is this making me happy?’. We are inspired to get back to that long left hobby of dancing, drawing, writing, clicking pictures, playing ludo or jenga, watching a series or maybe just reading.
So, in this time when everyone is into the ‘Binge culture’ , our books have made their place there as well.
Here is a list of books put together and get you inspired and try reading while munching some nachos.
The Little Prince - This book is a poetic tale by French aristocrat, writer, poet, and pioneering aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. This book will help you develop a new perspective and also some useful insights with a much debated ending. A pure delight to read as it will make you turn pages and can be easily finished in one- sitting. This is one of those stories which are equally loved by the adults and the children.

The Grownup - This novel is written by Gillian Flynn, yes the Flynn who was appreciated by Stephen Kings. The author has a badass and bold way of narration which keeps it real. It is about a woman who pretends to be a ‘psychic’ and is very ambitious. The story has a flavour of mystery and will leave you wanting for more from the author.

Jesus’ Son - If you have picked up this novel be ready to face reality just on your face. This novel will take you to uncomfortable places and thoughts which will eventually leave you thinking. The protagonist of the novel is an addict who is caught up in a series of consequences and constant troubles. What you surely will admire about this novel is, it will make you like the plot without you liking the drug addiction that the protagonist has. The author has not tried to fancy addiction in any way which is the best part. With all the praise, I almost forgot to tell you the name of the author, Denis Hale Jhonson.

Animal Farm - George Orwell, who was considered the greatest british writer since 1945 by the Time, has done magnificent work and has shown his versatility by jumping to dystopian novels like Nineteen eighty four, after making his place in the children’s bookshelf. If you are someone who is into light heart novels and interested in animals' revolution against their master, then you should not skip this one.

N.P. - The novel has magic, mystery and is a translation ( Ann Sherif) of a famous Japanese novel by Banana Yoshimoto. One of the much famous lines from the novel is, ‘ Love is Love. it doesn’t matter what kind it is’. The author has used metaphor really well. Few of the backlash to the novel comes from it being not enough to hold the attention of readers. The novel has received mixed reactions. The plot is based on incent and suicide.

6. The tales of beedle the Bard - J.K Rowling has again indulged the readers with her magical fairytale stories. It is a treasure to keep in your book collection especially, if you are a potterhead. The last book of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has a story of the same name. After you read this book you will feel the nostalgia of all the Harry Potter stories you have watched or read and how much fun they were.

So much for that winter - If you are someone who is looking for some different and not so cliche plot, then you should be really picking up this novel. The narrative is absolutely worth the read. The small day to day crisis, loneliness, pain, joy, et al. overall it is a good contemporary read. Also, the author pulls your attention towards our ‘Online World’ and how lonely we are in this world. The writing style of Dorthe Nors is thought provoking.
